Flip on the Lights: Sunlight and other unnatural light hurts your eyes when you’re asleep. When the light goes on, you open your eyes and can’t go back to sleep because the pain of the light pouring into your eyes makes you crazy. So, you have to get out of bed. However, sometimes, if you do it every day for a week to wake up your little sisters, they adapt to staying asleep when the light flickers on. It’s crazy.

Make the Fire Alarm Go Off: When I was younger, the steam from my older sister’s hot shower would cause the fire alarm to go off because she didn’t like the sound of the fan, and was too scared to close the bathroom door. I’ve found that no one in my family can stay asleep when there is an annoying beeping, loud sound. I’ve learned that if I turn the shower all the way hot, and the door is open, no fan, I can set the fire alarm off. My little sisters’ ears have yet to develop an adaptation to the annoying scream of the fire alarm, however, my parents don’t like it when I set the fire alarm off so...
Blow a Blow Horn into Their Air Vent: There is an air vent upstairs in my house that goes through to my little sisters room. My little sisters are scared of noises in their bedroom when they don’t know the source. If you set off a blow horn through the air vent, you get results. In the case of my little sisters, they wake up screaming, and are exceedingly scared because they don’t where the noise is coming from. They run out of there room really quickly.
Play the Piano: On the weekends, all of my siblings fight to be the first one up because we have to play our piano before doing anything else. When I wake up before my little sisters on the weekends when we have places to go and things to see, I will start playing my piano with the dynamic of fortissimo. The little girls run into the piano room and try as hard as they can to kick me off of the bench so that they can play the piano before me. I always let them get me off; it’s fun for them. My little sisters laugh and giggle, and the physical activity wakes them up in a heartbeat.
These tricks may seem mean, but you got to do what you got to do.
I really like how you used a how-to style when you wrote this post. It makes it interesting and fun to read. I would love to see more posts like this! This blog is so relatable to so many people and that is fabulous! Keep up the good work!
