Steps to Waking Up You Heavy Sleeper Sister: Part 1

Shake her really hard:  When you are trying to wake up your little sister at 6:30 a.m. before leaving to school, you may come to realize that eight year old girls don’t want to wake up.  Therefore, you may have to wake her up by shaking her a lot.   First you start by shaking her lightly; you then grab her by the shoulders and shake her until she opens her eyes.  I tried this for a couple days, but eventually my little sister became immune to the shaking.

My little sister sleeping on the couch.  We tried to shake her, but she wouldn't wake up.

Assist her in opening her eyes: Another way to wake up your heavy sleeper sister is to assist her in opening her eyes.  Softly pull your sister’s eye lid up and wait until they open the other eye before you let go.  Sometimes your sister may become immune to this to, and they’ll simply slap your hand away and go back to sleep.  If that happens, go to the next tip.

Tell them they have five minutes to get up sbefore school: My little sisters wake up at 6:30 a.m. so that they can shower and read before school.  If your sisters have to get up early, it’s really effective if you go into their room and tell them that they have five minutes before their school bus leaves.  I can tell you from personal experience that telling them the wrong time gets them to literally jump out of bed.

Tell them your dream: All of my siblings enjoy enlightening everyone else about their dreams; you can wake them up by sharing your dream while sitting on their bed.  Eventually, they will hear your voice and want to share their dream with you thus waking them up.
    If all else fails...
    Drag her out of bed.
